Is sad « Result #1 on Sept 4, 2009, 6:21pm »
it seems this forum was started, was doing good, now everyone is gone again... i had to go looking for it since i forgot to add it to my bookmarks.
now i see yet again people getting disabled for no apperant reason. some are in this group. now, i know it's none of my business as to WHY that happens, but it is sad to see that they are. i just hope it's not because of imvu's stupid refund policy!!

I'm outraged!! Rep. Joe Beca wants to put a very misleading label on video games! This label is supposedly going to "help" reduce the violence in games. It looks like this: http://www.videogamevoters.org/takeaction/stop-hr231/
I want to know WHERE the proof is? I am just sick to death of all these things people want to do with games. IT DOESN'T HELP!! Parents are still going to buy games for their kids with or without this! What needs to be done is PARENTS sit down, play the games with their kids and explain the difference between the fantasy and reality, like mine did with me. Now, I know parents are the ones aiming for this, the irresponsible ones anyway, but still, a label like that is too vague. If they DO this, then they could do it to EVERY game. What's to stop them from putting it on a game like Brain Age or Tetris saying something along the lines of WARNING: This game can cause serious headaches which may lead to stroke? I'm sorry, but IF they are going to do something like this, then they NEED a serious reality check! Games are meant to be fun.
Yes, I've "killed" in games before, like Mortal Kombat, but I would never do such a thing in real life. It's like if I hear a song about violence, I know it's most likely that artists way of venting. For me, games are my vent, my escape for just a little while from the everyday. If they REALLY go for this, then I will be petitioning for the news media to be more regulated than they are since I hear nothing, but "more troops were killed in a van explosion today" and "there was a murder on the south side and no suspect yet." I'm tired of the government doing what parents should be doing in the first place! I only know a few parents that actually pay attention to what their kids do online or what games they play.
Ok, so if you go read and see my point, please do sign up and send a letter! I'm very very angry about this. From what I had read, this is NOT what the new labeling was supposed to be!

yup i have, but only online!
best one so far. he was in the middle of a wrap when someone took the pic! LOL!! *shivers*
funniest one yet!!
cutest one got deleted so here's the next best one!
the one i had before was two kids dressed as hinata and naruto cheek to cheek hugging each other. they looked like they really did love each other cause they were smiling so brightly and in their eyes you could see something was there!

I really wish I could see something like that. I've seen a dolphin show once, which was very cool, and wild dolphins...but my aquatic experiences are very limited. Sighs...I suppose that's one of the drawbacks to where I live.
